Obituary of Harriette Broduss McKenzie
In Memory of Harriette B. McKenzie who went to be with her heavenly father on 2-27-2022.
Harriette B. McKenzie was born 9-12-1938 to Harry Brodess May and Edna Goff May in Los Angeles California where they stayed until 1945. She auditioned for Walt Disney in 1944 for the lead role in his movie; The Song Of the South. She came in second for the role after she tapped danced for Disney. When Harry returned to his little family, they moved back to Cattletsburg Kentucky.
Harriette married her Cattletsburg Kentucky high school sweetheart Donald McKenzie in March 1956, they graduated on May 26, 1956 and had their first born in February 1957 Donald Jr, known as Butch. Diana was born three years later 1960 and last was Mary 1963.
Harriette made a home for her children in Tampa Florida where she went to college, then transferred to a respiratory program at St. Petersburg College where she graduated, was certified and then licensed as a Respiratory Therapist. Harriette worked as a CRTT at Sarasota Memorial Hospital then retired in 1999.
Harriette loved everyone and was a best Mom, Friend and Respiratory Therapist.
