Obituary of Daniel Raymond Rapp
Daniel Raymond Rapp, 93, of Nokomis, FL passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022. A native of Arlington Heights, IL, Dan loved boating, western movies, the Chicago Bears, and traveling across the US by motor home. Prior to retiring he worked in the automotive industry and owned a parts distributorship in the Chicago area, where he raised his family. A veteran who loved his country, Dan served in the United States Navy as an electrician aboard the storied battleship, USS Missouri.
Dan is survived by his wife Nada, to whom he was married nearly 30 years, as well as siblings Grace, Art, and Hal. He is also survived by his children Daniel, Lori, Dale, Linda, Gina, and Tami; thirteen grandchildren: Briana, Kendenn, Jamison, Meghann, Jacob, Daniel, Elizabeth, Jacqueline, Michael, Tyler, Blake, Alec, and Brooke; and by ten great grandchildren: Damani, Isabelle, Layla, Hayden, Novaleigh, Violet, Anna, Bryce, Lance, and Blake.
Dan was preceded in death by his first wife Trudi (Carter) as well as his siblings Myrtle, Chess, Bob, and Ken.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Friday, August 5, 2 PM at the clubhouse of the Terra Cove Park, 1060 E Laurel Rd., Nokomis, FL 34275. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Venice, FL.
